My tutoring approach
In my first session with a new student I always asses their ability with a Spanish test that I have devised. This then allows me to work at their level, tailor make the classes according to their ability and asses their progress. I always take into account the needs of the student and their aims; for example speaking and using holiday Spanish to understanding the Spanish Grammar.
Tutoring experience: 7+ years
At the moment I am self employed teaching and training people in the Spanish language. I have been teaching my native language (Spanish) for over 5 years and during that time I have attracted many adults and teenagers studying GCSE and A Level.
I worked for Bet365 as European Customer Account Team Leader. I started working for this company as a Customer Services Advisor and website translator and after a year as recognition of my hard word, dedication and commitment, I was promoted to the team leader position. My job involved translation and creation of the new Spanish products which involved excellent organizational marketing and promotional skills working within tight deadlines. During these 7 years I have been responsible for developing, building and training a team of 4 Spanish advisors to now a total of 25 (including native and non native speakers). I planned, trained, directed and organized my team on a daily basis following company procedures in order to ensure the high standards of quality services that the company required. My role also involved duty management shifts supporting 14 languages and up to 100 advisors during the shift in which I motivated and encouraged all staff to ensure an efficient and effective work force. I was also involved in translating legal documents and overseeing translation.

Luis is the perfect tutor for me, he understands exactly my requirements.
Well planned and organised class. Tailored to what you need. Very helpful.
I have no hesitation in recommending Luis Hernandez, Ihave found him to be an exceptional teacher.Luis was always well prepared for our lessons, reviewing the previous week's activities and preparing the next lesson, often with supplementary materials. Luis was particularly good at utilising various relatively routine objects within our class, such as items in the kitchen, magazines and household items. This brought the learning to life and made it more relevant to daily life.I found that Luis had a fluent grasp of English, whilst still having a strong Spanish accent that allowed me to listen to the correct pronunciation in the native tongue which was very useful.Of equal merit to Luis's teaching ability was his enthusiasm and his obvious enjoyment of teaching made the experience very pleasurable. When attending lessons after work, it can be easy for the activity to become something of a chore. However, being taught by Luis was always a pleasure and I enjoyed every lesson!
