My tutoring approach
I am happy to discuss with the student the area/s they want to concentrate on within the curriculum and then find the best way to go about assisting them. I feel this not only promotes understanding of the particular area of maths they want to concentrate on, but also by covering broader parts that form the building blocks will help the student to understand other areas more fully within the subject. Everyone has their own type of learning style so I feel it is best to apply different ideas or strategies until the student has a full grasp of their area of difficulty.
I am able to tutor up to A level standard dependent on the area of maths covered but this can be discussed initially but my primary focus would be geared at GCSE level.
Tutoring experience: 2+ years
While studying Pure Mathematical Sciences at University, I also qualified as a Mathematics Tutor for adults with learning difficulties which I did at night school. I also carried this on for a time voluntarily during and after my degree course.
I have also done a fair bit of private tuition and have helped out in some colleges including my local one.
